SAN FRANCISCO — July 21, 2026 — Bospar, the “politely pushy” PR and marketing agency that puts technology and pharma companies on the map, today announced it has been named a finalist in five categories for the 2026 PRSA-NY Big Apple Awards.
The agency was recognized for its work with RealSense and Smarty, as well as for developing one of the industry’s first Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) auditing frameworks.
Bospar’s shortlisted entries include:
- Seeing RealSense — Crisis Communications & Issue Management (Business-to-Business)
- Seeing RealSense — Crisis Communications & Issue Management (Campaigns with Budgets of $200,000 or Less)
- The Smart Response: How Smarty Owned the Tariff Moment — Excellence in Financial Communications (Business-to-Business)
- When AI Said You’re Dead: Building the Industry’s First GEO Auditing Framework — Excellence Utilizing AI in a Communications Campaign (Business-to-Business)
- Seeing RealSense — Reputation/Brand Management & Engagement (Campaigns with Budgets of $200,000 or Less)
“Award-winning PR isn’t confined to one coast,” said Curtis Sparrer, principal and co-founder of Bospar. “And it’s so much more than earning headlines. We helped RealSense come back from the AI dead zone, enabled Smarty to seize a fast-moving news cycle around tariffs and created one of the industry’s first machine reputation management frameworks. Here we come, New York!”
The recognition from the PRSA-NY Big Apple builds on Bospar’s strong run of West Coast honors. In December, Bospar won four PRSA-SF Foggies Awards: Large Agency of the Year, Professional of the Year for principal Curtis Sparrer, Standout Tactic of the Year for its RealSense launch and Crisis Communications for its work with San Francisco Pride. The December award marked the fourth consecutive year the agency has been named Large Agency of the Year.
In April, Bospar was ranked No. 7 on the San Francisco Business Times’ list of the Bay Area’s top 40 LGBTQ+-owned businesses, a list it has appeared on since 2020.
The PRSA-NY Big Apple Awards recognize outstanding achievement in public relations and honor campaigns that set the standard for creativity, strategy and measurable impact.
Winners will be announced at the Big Apple Awards Gala on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, at Sony Hall in New York City.
