Bospar PR Expands Bi-Coastal Delivery Strength with Addition of Senior Vice President Ivette Almeida and Account Director Ruben Ramirez

Almeida and Ramirez Add Strong Financial Relations and Social Media Expertise and Allow Bospar to Further Accommodate Clients in Time Zones Across the U.S., Europe and Asia

SAN FRANCISCO—October 5, 2017—Today Bospar, the boutique PR firm that puts tech companies on the map, announced two key hires: Senior Vice President Ivette Almeida and Account Director Ruben Ramirez. In her role at Bospar, Almeida will bring to bear her strong financial relations and global PR experience, while Ramirez, a former journalist, will work closely with the Bospar team and clients on social media and media relations programs.

Additionally, both Almeida and Ramirez are located in New York, deepening Bospar’s East Coast footprint and allowing the company to further accommodate clients in time zones across the United States, Europe and Asia.

“Ivette has successfully launched companies of every side of the financial equation, from cryptocurrencies to banking and finance, and has also taken them to successful exits, from acquisitions to public listings,” said Bospar Principal Curtis Sparrer. “Ruben, meanwhile, has been covering Ivette’s work as a veteran journalist of New York’s business beat for over 20 years.  Now that they have joined forces, they create a winning team for companies wanting both editorial insight and successful business outcomes.”

“We’re a company on a mission,” said Chris Boehlke, also a principal at Bospar. “In our less than three years in business, we’ve been honored to represent some of the most exciting innovators and disruptors in the technology space, and in the process, we’ve grown from just two to 20 staff.  Ivette and Ruben bring strong credentials and advance our business strategy of giving clients very senior account teams.  We call it helping our clients to ‘turn on the power,’ and that requires the best minds in our business.  We’re delighted we’re able to add yet two more professionals of that caliber to our team.”

Almeida is a senior communications professional with 20 years of experience in delivering high-impact communication strategies for organizations in financial services, fintech, B2B technology, energy, NGOs, and commodities and comes to Bospar from Paragon Public Relations, where she served as Director of Media Relations. Previously, while at Grayling, she managed press for the Climate Group’s annual event that resulted in a record amount of media coverage, with more than 1,300 placements reaching an estimated one billion people in 40 countries.

In her new role as Senior Vice President, Almeida will provide strategic counsel to clients in the security, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, big data and customer experience sectors and leverage her diverse expertise to further support Bospar clients in the fintech and financial services industry, as well as to provide funding and IPO communications support.

“What drew me to Bospar was a culture of genuine appreciation and acknowledgment across all levels of the organization—from leadership to management and associates,” said Almeida. “I am excited about the freedom I will have to look at new markets, to be disruptive—both internally and externally—and to leverage the full breadth of my experience and relationships. Bospar is a company to grow with, and I’m excited to begin my journey.”

Ramirez joins Bospar following a long career in journalism—from CNBC and Reuters to PBS and TheStreet. At Reuters, his team won an award for a series about the growth of frontier markets in Ghana and Nigeria, and at CNN Financial News his team received Emmy recognition for their coverage of 9/11. At TheStreet, where he was head of video, he tripled video views in the course of his four-year tenure, worked with the ad sales team to develop branded content opportunities for advertisers, developed social media content, and was the lead producer for Jim Cramer from the floor of the NYSE and on live video webinars for subscribers.

As an account director, Ramirez will work closely with Bospar’s social media team to continue to improve and expand Bospar’s social media offerings. He will also contribute a keen understanding of how to successfully pitch news stories, especially to top-tier business media.

“I joined Bospar because I’m really excited about being able to help tell the stories of young companies that are doing interesting things with technology,” said Ramirez. “I’m also excited to stretch my skills in this new frontier of PR. It’s challenging and very gratifying.”
