Healthcare CEO Engages Bospar for a Third Time, Sees Sustained Tier-1 Media Coverage

Queue is a healthcare technology company that built the world’s first fully autonomous robotic pharmacy. The company has reimagined how medications get dispensed, verified and delivered, positioning its platform as new infrastructure for an industry facing a worsening labor shortage.

Challenge

The CEO and co-founder is a three-time Bospar client. This time, he came to our PR agency preparing to emerge from stealth with an oversubscribed seed round and a new product category. But the company had no prior media presence and needed to create its narrative.

The challenge went beyond a standard funding announcement. The client needed to introduce the market to an entirely unfamiliar concept:  a pharmacy with no pharmacist. It wanted the message to reach two audiences: healthcare and tech, without the story reading as a novelty or raising safety concerns. This meant making a credible case for automation in an industry facing real, well-documented strain. That included pharmacist shortages, technician vacancies above 40%, pharmacy deserts and shrinking margins from negative reimbursements.

The objective was to introduce the client and its product as a serious, category-defining answer to a structural healthcare crisis, and to do it in a single coordinated media moment that would establish credibility across trade, healthcare, tech and business/finance press simultaneously.

This repeat Bospar client also wanted the team to sustain momentum in the following weeks.

Strategy

Bospar built and executed a tiered, embargoed launch strategy anchored in the industry’s problem, not the novelty of the technology (or robot). Key elements included:

  • Leading with the structural crisis (pharmacist shortages, pharmacy closures, negative reimbursements) so the client’s technology read as a necessary solution rather than a novelty
  • Elevating the founding team’s credibility, pairing a serial healthtech entrepreneur with a hardware engineer from Tesla and Zipline, to reinforce that this was a serious infrastructure play, not a gimmick
  • Securing validation quotes from lead investors to reinforce the funding narrative and de-risk the story for reporters
  • Running a coordinated, multi-beat embargo across healthcare, technology, robotics and business/finance outlets to land the story everywhere relevant on day one
  • Extending the initial embargo wave with sustained trade and analyst coverage in the weeks that followed, keeping the story alive well past the news cycle

Success

The launch established the client as a category leader from day one, generating sustained coverage across top-tier business, healthcare and technology outlets including Axios (Brock E.W. Turner reporting), Fierce Healthcare (Heather Landi reporting), Forbes, The Information (Stephanie Palazzolo reporting), WSJPro (Brian Gormley reporting) and many others.

Coverage extended well beyond the initial 24-hour embargo window, continuing for weeks after launch, a sign the story had staying power rather than delivering just a single-day spike.

“You all did a GREAT job in this month.”

— CEO and co-founder Nick Desai
