Bospar shortlisted for two PRWeek Healthcare PR Awards

SAN FRANCISCO — Feb. 27, 2024 — Bospar, the “politely pushy” PR and marketing firm that puts tech companies on the map, today announced it has been shortlisted in the third annual PRWeek Healthcare awards as a finalist for Best Healthcare Product Launch for personal healthcare app Together by Renee and Best in Health Innovation for healthcare data and analytics company, Carta Healthcare.

The PRWeek Healthcare Awards showcases and celebrates the best campaigns, projects, agencies, in-house teams and individuals across the fast-growing healthcare and pharmaceutical PR sectors. PRWeek will announce the winners on May 21 following its Healthcare Conference.

“We are honored to be among the PRWeek Healthcare Award finalists this year,” said Curtis Sparrer, Bospar principal and co-founder. “Along with the stellar media and business results our campaigns garnered, receiving this recognition from our peers proves that our creative and strategic initiatives, combined with our ‘politely pushy’ approach, is a winning formula for our healthtech, pharma and medtech clients.”

Bospar earned recognition for:

Together by Renee: What If a Selfie Could Save Lives?

With the help of a simple selfie, Together by Renee’s app can measure vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory rate. The app’s AI features help aging adults, individuals with chronic diseases and overwhelmed caregivers complete and manage patient care tasks that typically require multiple medical devices. PR used this “wow” factor and connected it to ongoing medical care issues in the U.S.: managing an aging population’s health, rising mental health concerns and suicide rates, the lack of knowledge surrounding blood pressure and the need to strengthen medication adherence rates.

As a result of Bospar’s media outreach, Together by Renee saw a 3,000% increase in downloads of its digital health app within one week, with most of them from the toughest audience for a mobile app — people who are 55 and older.

Carta Healthcare: Building Trust in AI for Better Patient Outcomes

With Carta Healthcare’s technology rooted in AI, Bospar helped shift public discourse surrounding generative AI from apprehension to a trusted resource. Leveraging its expertise in healthcare PR strategic communications, Bospar positioned AI as a transformative tool for providers and health systems rather than a threat. The resounding success of the PR campaign  is reflected in the extensive media coverage, boasting a total UMV (unique monthly visitors) of 1.66 billion.

Notably, the campaign played a pivotal role in helping Carta Healthcare achieve a threefold increase in revenue while expanding its clientele within the healthcare ecosystem by an impressive 50%.

Bospar has garnered numerous industry accolades, including five North America Sabre awards, seven PRovoke Sabree Innovation awards and was named to Fortune’s America’s Most Innovative Companies list – the only PR agency to receive the recognition – and Financial Times’ The Americas’ Fastest-Growing Companies 2023 list. Inc. 5000 recently recognized Bospar’s continued growth, recognizing it as one of the 2023 fastest-growing companies in America – for the third consecutive year.
