Bospar Shortlisted for SABRE Awards North America 2022 in 17 Categories

SAN FRANCISCO – December 21, 2021Bospar, the “Politely Pushy®” PR firm that puts tech companies on the map, today announced that the Innovation SABRE Awards North America 2022 has included Bospar among the finalists in 17 categories, including Innovator of the Year, Employee Activism/Engagement and Best in Social Good + Public Service + Activism.

No other agency, regardless of size, had as wide a profile across the award categories as Bospar. The story for the agency came down to three campaigns, each named as finalists in multiple areas. The most notable work is Bospar Messes With Texas. Earlier this year, when Texas’ state government passed what is now the country’s most restrictive abortion law, Bospar’s leadership jumped into action. They announced that they would pay the moving costs of any Texas-based employees who wished to leave the state to ensure they retained control of their reproductive choices.

Bospar’s move quickly drew media attention from across the country. Soon, Salesforce and other companies followed Bospar’s lead and announced similar employee relocation programs. The campaign is a finalist in eight SABRE North America 2022 categories, including Best Persuasive Content, Best Event – Agency (live or virtual), and Most Innovative Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiative.

“We’ve produced a lot of great work at Bospar, but if  ‘Bospar Messes With Texas’ is what we’re remembered for, I’d be thrilled about that,” said Curtis Sparrer, a Bospar principal and cofounder. “It’s not everyday you can help bring attention to a cause as important and deserving as a woman’s right to choose. I’m proud of that, and I’m elated that SABRE also recognized and appreciated our other campaigns.”

Those campaigns included one created on behalf of Bio Bidet, maker of electronic and high-tech bidets, called, “Making a Splash During Prime Day Lets Bio Bidet Flush Out the Competition.” This work received six nominations, in such categories as Best in Digital Promo & Activation, Best in Broadcast Media, and Best in Product Reviews.

“During initial quarantine, Bio Bidet experienced increased interest in bidets due to shortages of household goods such as toilet paper, but quickly realized they didn’t have a PR program in place to fully capitalize on the coinciding consumer media interest their competitors were receiving,” said Lilly Savin, a senior account executive at Bospar. “We came in to help rethink the company’s media strategies, especially during peak sales periods, to not only amplify the initial momentum and any savings that were available during Prime Day and Black Friday, but also to help make this recent bidet adoption an opportunity to educate consumers on the associated health innovations that are available for their bathrooms.”

Another Bospar campaign, which SABRE judges nominated for five awards, was one completed for Unistellar, maker of high-end telescopes. The campaign was titled “Bospar Takes Unistellar To New Heights” and positioned astronomy as an antidote to many of the problems caused by the pandemic’s lockdowns: claustrophobia, lapses in education and perspective.

Bospar will close out 2021 with a host of awards and industry recognition. Earlier in December,  the agency was named a finalist in six categories as part of the PRWeek 2022 US Awards. Inc. magazine awarded Bospar a bronze medal in the civic engagement category as part of the publication’s 2021 Best in Business list. Last month, PRNews recognized the agency with three  Platinum PR Awards for 2021, including one for best product launch (consumer) for work done for client Bio Bidet. Earlier this year, Inc. included Bospar in the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States, and PRovoke Media named the agency the winner of the Northern American SABRE award in the category of e-commerce.
