SAN FRANCISCO – October 11, 2021 – Bospar, the ‘Politely Pushy®’ PR firm that puts tech companies on the map, today announced that Curtis Sparrer, one of the agency’s co-founders and principals, will make a virtual presentation during an online gathering of entrepreneurs and business people interested in learning how to grow companies.
Sparrer is due to appear remotely on Oct. 26 at the Everyone Can: Small Business Academy, an 18-week educational program hosted by Swedbank Lithuania, the Nordic-Baltic retail banking group member based in Vilnius. Other speakers scheduled to appear include representatives from Google and Vinted, the Lithuanian fashion unicorn.
“Ačiū, I’m grateful to Swedbank for inviting me to speak,” said Sparrer, using the Lithuanian word for thank you. “Small business is the backbone of the world’s economy and will always be close to my heart. While we’ve grown a lot in the last two years, we’re still scrappy and are just as committed to service and providing value to clients as we were at the start.”
The Bospar leader will offer tips on managing growth, responding to a crisis – such as a worldwide pandemic – and how to find and hire talented people. Sparrer also plans to discuss how he and his co-founders transformed Bospar from a tiny firm into one of the fastest growing PR agencies in Silicon Valley. Bospar now employs more than 60 staffers to represent a broad mix of technology startups, established private companies and large public enterprises. Sparrer coined the slogan, “Politely Pushy®.” He wants Bospar account executives to always remain polite and pleasant, but also pursue goals that benefit clients with strength and confidence.
Additionally, Sparrer will discuss the importance of companies, regardless of size, establishing values and standing up for them when it counts. Bospar responded in September to a new abortion ban in Texas by offering to pay expenses for Texas-based Bospar employees who wish to relocate to retain control of their reproductive health. After Bospar’s Texas Staff Relocation Plan made national news, Salesforce followed the agency’s lead and announced a similar policy days later.
“We are excited to have Bospar open the Academy that we built to encourage the sustainable growth of small businesses in Lithuania,” said Rasa Verkauskaite-Kazanskiene, Head of SSE and Marketing at Swedbank Lithuania. “Just like anywhere else in the world there is an entire ecosystem to support start-ups, medium and large companies that can afford training and professional business consulting. But small businesses usually must sort out challenges on their own. Swedbank stepped in to gather business talents to share their experience and local business leaders to guide the participants through mentorship. Bospar is exactly the kind of company other small business owners dream of building: high growth, agile and dares to make distinctive choices that lead to success.”
