Bospar’s PR delivers media coverage, business results for public safety new product launch

Futuri is a global leader in AI-driven technology that empowers over 7,000 media companies to enhance content creation, audience engagement and monetization.

The company’s newest product, BEACON, merges AI and public safety to redefine emergency broadcasting, delivering critical information to residents and communities in real time, when it’s needed most. It does this through localizing content by geography, voicing it in multiple languages and ensuring critical updates reach the right people at the right time.

Challenge

The client wanted to get the word out about BEACON’s groundbreaking capabilities to emergency service managers, local officials, decision-makers and broadcasters.

However, timing was an obstacle. The client planned BEACON’s launch, which was in partnership with Florida’s Division of Emergency Management during Florida’s hurricane season, to leverage the heightened awareness around disaster preparedness. But the state’s emergency services and local officials – its target audience along with the media – were rightfully focused on recovery and rebuilding efforts, following Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Gaining media attention amid the wave of new AI technologies was another challenge. While the client had a strong reputation in the media tech space, BEACON was a new offering, and the PR campaign needed to introduce and position it in a way that reporters could understand, making clear how combining legacy broadcast technology with AI offered unique advantages.

To ensure a successful launch, the client tapped Bospar to use its B2B PR prowess to drive awareness and position BEACON as a novel solution that bridges the gap between AI innovation and actionable results for broadcasters.

Strategy

Bospar got to work to launch a strategic PR program to reach the client’s B2B target audience.

PR’s first order of business was shifting the launch timeline. Because emergency services and local officials were occupied with hurricane season, the public relations agency advised the client to time the launch in December instead — a month after hurricane season ends in Florida — to ensure the client’s new launch garnered maximum media coverage and public attention.

Bospar’s PR strategists coordinated a press conference to generate buzz around the launch. To secure media interest, the PR team reached out to key audiences ahead of, on the day of and following the press conference. Media outreach highlighted the need for better technology before, during and after disasters. This acknowledged the challenges emergency services faced in 2024 and positioned BEACON as a proactive, future-ready solution for disaster preparedness.

Our PR professionals contacted both local and national media across the U.S. When targeting national media, our public relations agency noted Florida was the first state to launch BEACON, with the potential for nationwide adoption and applicability beyond hurricanes to disasters, such as fires and earthquakes. This showcased its versatility and expansive value proposition. PR’s strategic outreach to emergency service managers and local city managers throughout the U.S. further amplified the solution’s visibility, generating interest in the press conference.

To ensure more people could view the launch and maximize the potential for national and local media coverage, Bospar’s PR team recommended that the press conference be live-streamed.

The public relations effort paid off, securing at least 73 pieces of high-impact coverage in emergency services media, tech outlets, climate publications and national media. That included stories in Politico (Kimberly Leonard reporting), SiliconANGLE (Paul Gillin reporting), Government Technology (Ashley Stern reporting) and Gainesville Sun (Alan Festo reporting).

On the broadcast front, our outstanding PR program scored a segment on FOX News in which the client’s CEO highlighted how the company’s newly launched solution can be used for any critical situation where the public needs information. FOX News reporter Eben Brown stressed BEACON’s vital importance, noting that the technology’s emergency alerts could save lives.

In addition to this momentous media coverage, the attention helped drive a significant increase in traffic to the new product’s dedicated webpage. Many emergency service organizations also contacted the client to explore implementing the newly launched solution in their regions.

“I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for Bospar's professionalism in securing this coverage. Your team has effectively helped articulate how BEACON improves emergency communications for all citizens, reaching local, state and federal audiences with this important story.
