Bospar Takes the Gold—and Two Platinums—in MarCom Awards

Boutique tech PR firm Bospar recognized for outstanding achievement in one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious creative competitions in the world

SAN FRANCISCO—November 8, 2017—Bospar, the boutique PR firm that puts tech companies on the map, has earned a platinum award for campaigns for clients Neurala and Ebates and a gold award for work with client Conversica in the 2017 MarCom Awards.

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. It is sponsored and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), a 23-year-old international organization. The 2017 competition received over 6,000 entries from around the world and is the industry’s pre-eminent third-party evaluator of creative work.

“We appreciate that the MarCom Awards has recognized our work for both our B2B and B2C efforts,” said Curtis Sparrer, principal of Bospar. “Our work with Ebates demonstrates our expertise in connecting with consumer audiences, while our Conversica and Neurala campaigns highlight our ability to communicate with the most technical of influencers in the artificial intelligence space.”

“We’re a boutique tech PR firm that delivers world-class results for our clients,” said Chris Boehlke, principal of Bospar. “It’s rewarding to see that recognized by our industry, and it motivates every one of us to do award-winning work at all times.”

The winning platinum entries included a series A funding announcement for deep learning neural networks company Neurala that resulted in more than 96 pieces of coverage in major business and tech outlets—including CNBC, Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, VentureBeat, Fortune and Inc.—equaling 407 million impressions and leading to a 50 percent increase in inbound business inquiries, and a consumer media campaign for cash back shopping leader Ebates that resulted in more than 1,283 pieces of coverage in major lifestyle, consumer, tech and personal finance outlets—including CNET, Yahoo!, CNN Money, Forbes, Business Insider, USA Today, Mashable, TIME, NBC News and CBS News—equaling 4.1 billion impressions and generating 10 percent more signups than the previous year.

The gold-winning entry was a series B funding announcement for Conversica, the category leader in AI-powered business conversations, which resulted in 450 pieces of coverage across all relevant media categories and a record-breaking number of social mentions, website visitors, demo requests and free product signups.
