SAN FRANCISCO — May 2, 2024 — Bospar, the “politely pushy” PR and marketing firm that puts health and tech companies on the map, has secured a prestigious PRovoke SABRE award for its campaign for Brainly, “Helping Students Make the Grade,” outshining those for consumer brands GoPro and JBL Harman Industries in the Consumer Electronics category.
The awards were announced May 1 at a gala held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
“Bospar’s not-so-secret ingredient is that we invest in people, not buildings,” said Curtis Sparrer, principal at Bospar. “Our remote-first approach isn’t just good for the environment, it’s good for our clients’ businesses. Time after time, we demonstrate that we can go head-to-head against the biggest brands to craft award-winning campaigns with business results that leapfrog the work of traditional brick-and-mortar agencies.”
Brainly: Helping Students Make the Grade
Bospar’s campaign focused on Brainly’s use of AI to level the playing field in the post-COVID era, with teacher shortages rampant throughout the U.S. and students falling behind.
Michał Borkowski, the founder of Brainly, knew what students were up against. Growing up in Communist Poland, he didn’t have resources for tutors or the best schools.
He also understood AI could help students impacted by COVID and cuts. AI could be an always-on tutor that students worldwide could access regardless of their income. This could help overburdened teachers also.
Bospar positioned Brainly’s AI tools as the bridge to educational excellence. We took on the task of enlightening teachers, hosting a roundtable to learn their perceptions around AI in education. Given teachers’ limited resources, our media messaging honed in on how AI could be their ally, from lesson plans to grading.
Then, we started enrolling media, snagging the first of three national placements from Fox. Our share of voice skyrocketed, more than doubling the entrenched competition.
Today, Brainly has over 250 million users and is the number one app for homework help.
In addition to these most recent accolades, Bospar’s awards so far in 2024 include PRWeek’s Best in Corporate Branding for its OMG: Infobip Celebrates 30 Years of Texting!, two PRNEWS Digital Awards 2024 for its Infobip campaign, three PRovoke SABRE Innovation Awards for its work with Infobip and Digibee, three PRNEWS 2024 Impact Communications Awards, ranking No. 71 on the Inc. 5000 Regionals: Pacific list, being shortlisted for two PRWeek Healthcare PR Awards, four SABRE Innovation Award nominations and two wins, and being named finalist for Visit California’s prestigious Poppy Award. In 2023, Bospar was recognized as a winner or finalist for more than 60 awards.
