Bospar’s Strategic PR for AI Spinoff Results in 500+ Articles,Booming Website Traffic, Surge in LinkedIn Followers and Engagement
RealSense, an AI-powered computer vision company incubated at Intel Corp., has built traction across healthcare, industrial automation, robotics, security and “tech for good” initiatives.
Now it was ready to spin out as an independent entity to accelerate its innovation, position itself to capture the scalable growth potential of the rise of physical AI and build on its strength.
Challenge
With $50 million in Series A funding and a bold vision to advance physical AI through robotics and machine perception, the company needed a PR strategy that would enable it to engage with media contacts to drive coverage emphasizing its credibility, establishing brand equity, shaping public perception and driving traffic to its website and social media channels.
Adding to the challenge: The client wanted to announce its news on a Friday in July to avoid the risk that the news would leak out over the weekend. But trying to get media coverage for end-of-week news announcements, especially during peak summer vacation season, was a real risk.
Strategy
Bospar’s PR professionals understood that speed and control would be paramount. So, we positioned the spinout as a strategic evolution that would unlock the next frontier of physical AI.
We anchored the PR and digital communications campaign on the following key messages:
- Independence: The client’s evolution from an Intel division to a standalone AI leader
- Market validation: The investor confidence demonstrated by the $50 million in funding
- Technology differentiation: The stereoscopic imaging capabilities for next-gen robotics
In the three months prior to the news release, our PR agency collaborated with the client to:
- Secure embargoed interviews with Axios Pro Rata, CNBC, CRN, Fortune, Reuters, TechCrunch, The Wall Street Journal and dozens of other leading media outlets
- Redesign the client’s corporate website and visual branding
- Create and place content that published under the bylines of the client’s leaders
- Establish and execute an executive visibility program
- Provide media training for nearly a dozen of the client’s executives
- Build and launch a new corporate LinkedIn page
- Optimize the company’s social media strategy
Our strategic public relations plan synchronized the news release with the debut of the client’s new LinkedIn page as well as its newly branded website. That provided key target media outlets such as CNBC and Reuters with instant access to company backgrounders, executive bios and other assets – providing everything that they needed to craft accurate and in-depth stories.
The social media cohort of our PR team also engaged with social media commentary to further amplify the client’s brand visibility both during the lead up to and following the announcement.

“Importantly, Bospar has been – by far – the best ‘agency’ I’ve ever worked with. I put that in finger quotes because it’s a h*ll of a lot more than an agency. This is a mix of superheroes that can stand on their own as experts in their domains, flex into others and work together as a team with unbelievable strength and results. Thank you for all your amazing leadership support through the launch!”
