SAN FRANCISCO — March 17, 2026 — Bospar, the “politely pushy” tech PR and marketing firm, has been shortlisted for a PRSA Anvil Award for best small agency.
The recognition highlights Bospar’s transformation during a period of significant disruption in the technology sector. The agency’s award entry, titled “From Surviving to Thriving: How Bospar Turned Market Collapse into Industry Leadership,” details how the firm rebounded from a steep downturn in venture capital funding to achieve record growth and expanded influence across data-driven technology and AI-first companies.
The submission also highlights several high-impact campaigns. Bospar helped relaunch RealSense after its spinout from Intel, correcting misinformation circulating across AI platforms and driving more than 500 media placements and a fourfold increase in website traffic. For cash-back app Smarty, the agency used survey data and a strategic newsjacking campaign tied to tariff concerns to generate 85 media placements and 2.5 billion impressions.
Bospar also played a key role in helping San Francisco Pride recover from a sponsorship crisis triggered by corporate pullbacks on DEI initiatives. The campaign reframed the funding shortfall into a national conversation around the theme, “Queer Joy is Resistance,” ultimately generating $2.5 million in new funding and restoring the organization to financial stability.
“Being shortlisted for the Silver Anvil is an incredible honor because it recognizes our resilience as an agency and our client campaigns,” said Curtis Sparrer, principal and co-founder of Bospar. “When venture funding collapsed, we could have retrenched. Instead, we reinvented our approach, leaned into the AI revolution and doubled down on fearless storytelling for our clients.”
