Boutique tech PR firm Bospar recognized for outstanding achievement in one of the most prestigious creative competitions in the world
SAN FRANCISCO—NOVEMBER 3, 2020—Bospar, the boutique PR firm that puts tech companies on the map, has earned platinum awards for campaigns for clients Healthline, Prodoscore and Unisys and a gold award for work with client Yellowbrick in the 2020 MarCom Awards.
The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. It is sponsored and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), a 25-year-old international organization made up of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, PR, digital, and web professionals. The 2020 competition received over 6,000 entries from around the world and is the industry’s pre-eminent third-party evaluator of creative work.
“It’s hard to make news on Election Day, but we’re going to try,” said Curtis Sparrer, principal of Bospar. “We are declaring victory today, now that the MarCom Awards has recognized our work for both our B2B and B2C efforts. We are filled with gratitude to our clients for allowing us to be part of their journey. We are extremely proud of our team and the work they produce and will continue to harness our creative energy and expertise to help our clients break through the noise and reach the next level, no matter which environment they operate in.”
The winning platinum entries included:
- A live town hall webcast with Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, for Healthline. In addition to handling all the logistics pre- and post-event, Bospar secured 146 placements, including CNN, Business Insider, The New York Times, Reuters, Forbes, Yahoo News!, Bloomberg Law, Newsweek, and FOX News. Good Morning America, Healthline and YouTube streamed the event, securing over 450,000 views.
- Unisys Security Index: Staying Safe; Staying Connected; Staying Secure. Bospar leveraged the Unisys Security Index (USI), securing 1,848 media placements worldwide and dramatically increasing website traffic and website engagement. In 2020 the average website visitor stayed on the USI pages for five minutes, a 360% increase from 2019. There were 2,668 social engagements on USI in 2020, a 29% increase from 2019. The banner ad campaign reached 90% of total accounts; 74% visited the site, and 48% engaged.
- Making Work From Home Actually Work, a strategic communications plan for Prodoscore, featured an exclusive report on CNBC, generating 30 inbound leads within the first hour of the broadcast, as well as coverage on the BBC, Forbes, HR.com, and 18 other outlets. Web traffic shot up 90%. For a live webinar summarizing the findings from the Prodoscore Research Council, Bospar live-tweeted the presentation, using high-value hashtags like #WFH. Social activity shot up with 16,000 shares. To date, Bospar has secured more than 100 media placements.
The gold-winning entry was a digital and social media campaign for Yellowbrick, a hybrid cloud data warehouse. Leveraging a survey on how the tech industry is responding to the impact of COVID-19, Bospar secured more than 20 pieces of online and broadcast coverage, with feature stories in Forbes, TechRepublic, ZDNet, SiliconANGLE, Datanami, and other media outlets.
Being a MarCom four-award recipient is the latest recognition of Bospar’s continued distinction in the public relations profession.
