Purpose of Role

The Business Development Associate supports a variety of initiatives to identify, engage and secure new business opportunities across the agency.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Field timely responses to inbound leads and messages from prospects
  • Schedule introductory calls and proposal reviews
  • Coordinate with PR, Social Media, Content, and Media Relations teams to ensure sufficient representation during meetings
  • Develop tailored capabilities presentations
  • Assist with tailored proposal development
  • Own regular updates to presentation templates, case studies and staff bios
  • Manage new business tracker
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to project manage the collection, distribution, tracking, and management of all new business leads and RFPs
  • Maintain inventory of communications materials and marketing collateral (for example, proposal templates, capabilities presentations, case studies, and content samples)
  • Work with the internal team to coordinate a cadence of outbound follow-up campaigns; assist with coordinating inbound appointments; and facilitate calendar of follow-ups

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Strong organization and time/project management skills with a service mentality
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Fluency in PowerPoint/Google Slides
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Able to work independently and with teams
  • Aptitude to use independent judgment on when and how to respond to shifting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
